What could be more unique
and romantic than having your wedding aboard an authentic wooden sailing
schooner under sail? The majesty of
this schooner’s white billowing sails quickly assures you this
magical occasion is an experience that the two of you, your friends and
family will always remember. If you choose you can be married by
the ship’s captain! Captain Randall even provides you with
the exact geographic coordinates, the latitude and longitude, at the
time of the vows.
The Schooner Daniel Webster Clements is the perfect sailing vessel for weddings aboard. Her wide stable wooden decks allow plenty of room for all aboard to move comfortably around and visit. The quietness of sailing allows for effortless conversation. The Clements has a large salon/galley area for food and beverage preparation and a wide, open aft deck ideal for a wedding ceremony. Passenger seating is plentiful and we have expansive surfaces to display and enjoy your food and beverages.
Once your party has arrived
at our private, secluded marina in the Destin Harbor District, we’ll cast off, go out into the Destin Harbor
where the crew will raise the sails. 
You and your guests are invited
to join in and help raise the sails using our traditional “block
and tackle” running rigging. We sail down the length of the
Destin Harbor and either into the Gulf of Mexico or turn in East Pass
and sail into beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay. Once the schooner is
in an open navigational area and guests have had a chance to relax with
their favorite hors d'oeuvres and beverages, we begin our wedding ceremony. The
vows being declared..it's time to stand back and enjoy the cake and champagne. The
dolphins may even join in the celebration with any luck! As
we glide along on this memorable sail we continue to enjoy the music,
friends, family, the sounds of the wind in the rigging..and, of course,
a great Florida sunset! Later, as we sail back into the Destin
Harbor we are treated by the harbor lights, the moon, and the starlit
night. What could be more perfect?
Our rates are competitive. We have a minimum charter rate of $1200 for up to 20 passengers. Each additional passenger is an additional $20 for up to a party of 47. We charge a crew gratuity of 15%. You may even extend your time on the schooner under sail or at the dock for an additional $300 per hour. Again, and very importantly, our quiet, remote location assures privacy and group integrity.

will be accompanying you on your cruise.
